A website tells people about your business; an application runs it. When a coaching institute wants students to log in and watch classes, when a distributor wants field reps to punch orders, when a clinic wants patients to book without calling, that is application development. AICLEX Technologies builds these systems for Indian businesses, from a first MVP to a product with thousands of users.
We have shipped our own applications (WhatsPilot for WhatsApp automation, Siteboard for plot management, Zonvo for AI voice calling), so we know what it takes to keep software running after launch, not just to demo it. That experience shapes how we scope, build and hand over client projects.
Types of applications we build
Web applications are browser-based tools with login, roles and dashboards: a student portal, a franchise ordering system, a field-service tracker, an approval workflow. Mobile applications run on Android and iOS, built with React Native or Flutter so one codebase serves both stores. Admin panels let your staff manage users, orders and reports. APIs connect everything to payment gateways, WhatsApp Cloud API, Zoom, logistics partners or your existing Tally.
A typical engagement combines a customer-facing mobile app, a web admin panel for your team, and a Node.js API on PostgreSQL in the middle. We can also build one piece alone, such as an API layer for an existing app or an admin panel to replace spreadsheets.
- MVPs for founders validating an idea with real users
- Learning portals and branded apps for coaching institutes
- Field sales, delivery and service apps with offline support and GPS
- Booking apps for clinics and consultants with WhatsApp reminders
- Internal tools for approvals, inventory, attendance and expense claims
Delivery process and realistic timelines
Phase 1, scope (1 to 2 weeks): we interview you and your staff, write user stories, draw screen flows and identify the riskiest assumptions, then share a scope document and fixed-price proposal. Phase 2, design (2 to 3 weeks): clickable Figma prototypes of every screen, reviewed with you and ideally a few real users. Phase 3, build (6 to 16 weeks depending on modules): every two weeks you receive a working build on staging or a Play Console internal track and TestFlight.
Phase 4, hardening and launch (2 to 3 weeks): security review, load testing, store submissions and staff training. Play Store review takes 1 to 3 days and App Store 1 to 7 days; we handle both. A small MVP lands in 10 to 14 weeks end to end; a multi-role platform with payments and integrations is closer to 5 to 7 months.
What an MVP should and should not include
Founders often arrive with a 40-feature list. We help cut it to the 6 to 10 features that prove customers will pay. A tuition marketplace MVP needs teacher profiles, search, booking and payment; it does not need a referral programme, a wallet and chat on day one. Cutting scope reduces cost and, more importantly, lets you learn sooner.
What version one must still include: OTP login (standard in India), role-based access, a basic admin panel so you are not dependent on developers for every change, analytics events, error logging, and a database schema that will not need rewriting as the product grows. These separate a prototype from a product, so we do not skip them.
Ownership, security, support and what you provide
Code is committed to a GitHub organisation you own from the first sprint. Hosting runs in your AWS or Vercel account, usually the Mumbai region, and store listings are created under your Google Play and Apple developer accounts (Google charges a one-time USD 25, Apple USD 99 a year). Move to another vendor any time and take the repository with you.
Security is built in: hashed passwords, tokens with expiry, HTTPS, input validation on every API, rate limits on OTP and login endpoints, daily database backups and secrets kept out of code. Where personal data is handled we follow DPDP Act practices such as consent capture and deletion on request. The first 45 days of fixes are covered; afterwards choose a monthly support retainer or per-feature quotes. Android and iOS change their policies yearly, so some upkeep is unavoidable.
From you we need one decision-maker who answers within a day, two or three real end users for testing, existing data in exportable form, and accounts in your name for AWS, Play Console, App Store Connect and Razorpay or Cashfree. Gateway KYC can take a week, so start early. Avoid vendor-hosted servers, skipped staging environments, and contracts without a code ownership clause.
Who this is for
- Founders with validated demand who need a working MVP to raise funds or start charging
- Coaching institutes and course creators wanting a branded learning app
- Distributors and manufacturers needing order-taking and collection apps for field teams
- Clinics and consultants needing appointment booking with WhatsApp reminders
- SMEs replacing spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups with a proper internal tool
- Businesses whose existing app needs a rebuild, new admin panel or modern API
Why choose AICLEX™
We run our own products
WhatsPilot, Siteboard and Zonvo are live applications with paying users. Your app gets the same monitoring, release and support discipline.
Cross-platform by default
React Native or Flutter for mobile and Next.js for web means one codebase per platform, lower cost and faster releases on both stores.
Fortnightly working builds
You test real software every two weeks on staging, so surprises surface early and scope conversations happen with evidence.
Indian integrations ready
Razorpay, Cashfree, WhatsApp Cloud API, Zoom, OTP providers and GST invoicing are already wired in our toolkit, not learnt on your budget.
Pricing
A focused MVP web or mobile application usually starts around ₹2 to ₹6 lakh depending on modules and integrations. Multi-role platforms with payments, apps on both stores and third-party integrations typically fall between ₹6 and ₹18 lakh. A written proposal with fixed milestones follows a discovery call, with GST invoices at each stage.
Frequently asked questions
What does custom application development cost in India?+
It depends on user roles, screens and integrations. A lean MVP starts around ₹2 to ₹6 lakh; a full platform with customer app, admin panel, payments and notifications is usually ₹6 to ₹18 lakh. We scope first and give a fixed milestone-based price, not an open-ended hourly rate.
How long does it take to build an app?+
A small MVP takes 10 to 14 weeks from kickoff to store launch; a platform with multiple roles and integrations takes 5 to 7 months. Working builds arrive every two weeks, and you can choose to launch a smaller first version if the timeline matters more than the feature list.
Will we own the source code and can we switch developers later?+
Yes. The repository is under your GitHub account from the first sprint, hosting and databases are in your cloud account, and the app is published under your developer accounts. Nothing needs re-transferring if you change vendors. The ownership clause is part of our standard proposal.
Do you provide maintenance after launch?+
The first 45 days of fixes are included. After that we offer a monthly support retainer with fixed hours covering OS and store policy updates, security patches, small enhancements and monitoring, or per-feature quotes. Apps need some upkeep every year because Android and iOS keep changing their rules.
Where is the app hosted and is our data secure?+
On AWS or Vercel in your own account, usually the Mumbai region so data stays in India. Databases are encrypted at rest, backed up daily and reachable only through the API. HTTPS, hashed passwords, token expiry and rate limits are standard, with DPDP Act practices for consent and deletion.
Can we start with only a web version and add mobile apps later?+
Yes. Many clients start with a responsive web app, which works on phones through the browser, and add store apps once usage justifies the cost. Because the API and database are shared, a React Native or Flutter app added later reuses the whole backend.
